In 2010, Kristy graduated from the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) Degree. She interned with the Globe and Mail where her coverage on Aboriginal schooling made the front page. Recently back after eight months of immersing herself in the culture of the South Pacific and Asia, Kristy is now freelancing for Open File Hamilton. In September 2011, she will be attending City University London (UK) for a Master's in International Journalism, after which she hopes to report from all four corners of the world.
